When All You
Have Left Is
His Name

A devotional reflection

"At the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord."

Philippians 2:10–11

New Article

After every prayer has been prayed — and the problem still remains — there is one thing that releases the tension.

You've wept. You've tarried. You've quoted every promise, called in every covenant, prayed every prayer you know to pray. And yet the problem is still there, sitting in the room like it owns the furniture.

In that stripped, hollowed-out place — the Spirit quietly points you to a Name.

"The Name of Jesus is not a last resort. It is the first resort we finally reach when we have exhausted everything else we were trusting instead."

"Speaking His name is not giving up on prayer. It is arriving at the purest form of it — the place where your whole trust is in Him and nothing else."

"You do not speak the Name of Jesus because the problem is gone. You speak it because He is bigger than the problem, and your mouth is choosing to agree with that truth before your eyes have caught up."

"When the prayers run out and the Name remains, you are not at the bottom of your spiritual resources. You are at the foundation. And foundations do not move."

Your name is power
Your name is healing
Your name is life
Break every stronghold
Shine through the shadows
Burn like a fire

Just Jesus.
That name is enough.
